The recruitment of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba by PSG is said to be a priority for the club next summer. The Frenchman's deal with the Red Devils ends at the end of the season, and he has so far turned down the opportunity to extend it.
PSG is ready to go 'all-in' for the 28-year-old, according to L'Equipe. During the next transfer window, the club is expected to be anxious to add a top-tier midfielder.
In the summer of 2016, the Frenchman moved to Manchester United from Juventus for a then-world-record cost of £89 million. Despite flashes of brilliance during his time with the Red Devils, Pogba has fallen short of the expectations placed on him. Last summer, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner was heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford due to the fact that his contract with the club had only one year left on it. Pogba, on the other hand, chose to stay at United.
The 2021-22 season was a mixed bag for the French midfielder. He has seven assists in his first four Premier League games this season before going nine games in all competitions without a goal or an assist. After suffering a hamstring injury while on international duty in November, Pogba was sidelined for over two months. During Manchester United's FA Cup loss to Middlesbrough last week, the midfielder made his comeback.
